The first activation marks the two linked endpoints as A and B without revealing either. Rotate the globe to find B, then activate either endpoint again to commit the pair. Either endpoint can be a mine, so inspect the numbered neighborhoods around both before you commit.
A flagged partner grounds and holds the echo. Use that when one endpoint looks dangerous; remove the flag later if your deduction changes.
After an echo, both endpoints receive a non-color ↔ linked glyph and outline. Reduced motion keeps those static markers and all text feedback.
