Privacy Policy — Alt Text Intelligence for iOS

Last updated: June 9, 2026

Alt Text Intelligence is an iOS app developed by Luke Steuber under Bridge City Lab LLC. This policy explains the data the app does and does not collect.

Short version: Alt Text Intelligence collects nothing. No accounts. No analytics. No telemetry. No tracking. No third-party SDKs. Version 1.0.0 requests no network entitlements at all.

What stays on your device

What we do not collect

On-device language model

On iOS 26 and later, alt text prose and chat replies can be composed by the system's on-device language model. Alt Text Intelligence does not transmit your prompts or images off-device. On earlier iOS versions a deterministic on-device composer is used instead.

Tools

The chat surface exposes tools to the on-device language model. In version 1.0.0 every tool is pure on-device compute:

A future version may add tools that intentionally reach the public internet (for example, fetching a Wikipedia summary or a weather forecast). When that happens, this policy will be updated and each such tool will surface a "uses internet" indicator inside the app the moment it is invoked. Network tools will not be added silently.

Extensions

The Share Extension and Action Extension run the same on-device pipeline. They write the resulting alt text to your clipboard and communicate with the main app via an App Group shared inbox on the device only.

Children's privacy

Alt Text Intelligence is rated 4+ and does not collect any data from users of any age.

Your rights

Because Alt Text Intelligence collects no data about you, there is no data to access, export, correct, or delete. If you delete the app, all descriptions, conversations, and preferences stored on your device are removed along with it.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change (for example, optional opt-in analytics), this policy will be updated and the date at the top of this page will change. Material changes will be called out in the app's What's New screen.
